Calculate energy efficiency and annual operating costs

Why this tool matters

Efficiency comparisons become more valuable when they do not disappear after the estimate. Use this result now, then keep it tied to the installed base so it can support upgrade timing and replacement conversations later.

What is SEER?

SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures how efficiently an air conditioning system converts electricity into cooling over an entire cooling season. Higher SEER ratings mean lower energy costs.

The federal minimum SEER rating is 14 (as of 2023). Upgrading from a 10 SEER system to 16 SEER can save 37.5% on cooling costs.
